The Alzheimer's Association – Western Carolina Chapter is inviting area residents to help fight Alzheimer'sWalk participants

Trick and Treat in the Park - Downtown Asheboro

This free, family-oriented event provides an opportunity for children to dress up in their Halloween costumes

North Carolina's Women ''Do Their Bit'' During WWI

When the US entered the war in 1917, women encouraged and supported one another to “do their bit,” puting together care packages for soldiers;
growing & preserving food during severe shortages; raising funds through Liberty Bond drives; and converting a college cafeteria into a quarantine
for locals who had fallen ill with influenza.
